Every so often we will write a blog post introducing some new frames in our collection. Today we'll focus on some old favorites cat eye glasses  that have been out of stock for a while and are now back in stock.

Starting off with our all time favorite:

black cat eye glasses

These Black Fade Womens Cat eye glasses from the 1960's have just the right amount of everything.

Color is black and bold but then goes on to fade to the other extreme giving them a soft and light touch.

Gold etchings and stones bring a perfect contrast to the dark black brows and just the right amount of bling without turning them into jewelry.

These womens vintage frames come in a few colors, (see here here and here. even some other fade colors (see here, here and here) but this is by far a favorite color.

Tortoiseshell cat eye glasses

The next pair we have is an unused pair of 1950s tortoiseshell cat eye glasses.

These frames come in black, brown and tortoise. While these rhinestone cat eye glasses do not have the wow factor, they are  elegent and classic and have a large fan base.

Next we'll go to the other extreme, a pair of clear /  translucent cat eye glasses.

If you search the internet you will find many guides discussing cat eye glasses face shape, the ideal face shape for 1950s cat eye glasses. The real truth is that cat eye glasses came in many shapes and colors. Different shapes and colors fit different faces differently.

This pair of vintage frames is translucent. When frames are translucent an extreme shape may not look so extreme.  The translucent color sort of hides the shape and the frames won't stick out as much as a pair of black cat eye glasses

Next we have a pair of pince nez, an older style of antique eyeglasses. Pince nez were popular style of nineteenth century eyeglasses and were common until after WW1. This particular type are called Z  Fold Oxford Glasses.
