1950s Glasses

1950s Glasses were a game changer. No longer were vintage frames confined to being gold or silver, as were 1940s glasses. There was now color! 50s glasses were the also mostly made of plastic, something not found in earlier frames. In fact, it was the introduction of plastic as a common manufacturing material that enabled all the color and style of 50s eyeglasses, continuing and reaching it's peak in the late 1960's. 1950s glasses frames are some of the most popular vintage frames sold today.

1950s Mens Glasses

There were two basic styles of 1950s mens glasses: Horn rimmed Glasses and browline glasses. Mens 1950s frames were generally solid colors of black, tortoise, brown, gold silver, woodgrain.
