Malcolm X Glasses

Malcolm X glasses is the name some us to refer to Browline eyeglasses, the most popular style of mens 1950s glasses. They also know as Clubman glasses, Clubmaster eyeglasses, or Ronsir frames, after their model names from the largest manufacturers of vintage frames.

Many people today refer to them as Malcolm X Glasses or Malcolm X Horn Rimmed Glasses Frames, being that are familiar with these frames from photos of the famous civil rights activist. These were called Malcolm X Glasses during his lifetime, at that point that was what everyone was wearing. It is only during the last 30-40 years that some started referring to these mostly Mens Vintage Glasses by this name.

Malcolm X had these frames in a few different colors depending on the years, and would change them up based on the color clothing he was wearing.
