Browline

Browline glasses are a style of vintage eyeglass frames which were very popular for men and womenduring the 1950's and 1960s. Named after the similarity of the thick, upper part of the browline frames to the eyebrows they covered. Originally invented by Shuron optical, they accounted for almost 50% of all vintage eyewear sold in the US in the 1950's. Browline Glasses are sometimes referred to as combination frames, G-man, or Clubmaster eyeglasses. Notably worn by Malcolm X, and of late by Noah bennet in the TV series Heroes. Wearable Vintage Browline eyeglasses are becoming harder to find, due to the fact that the top part is usually made of plastic which shrinks with age, causing them to break away from the metal chasis. We managed to get hold of a small collection of browline glassses for men and women. and have listed them for sale.
